Zeca and Tzavellas register goals
On Sunday, two Greek internationals struck gold for their respective clubs, with Carlos Zeca hitting the target with FC Copenhagen and Georgios Tzavellas scoring for Alanyaspor.
After embarking on a mazy run, midfielder Zeca then seized a loose back pass from an Odense defender, prodding the loose ball past goalkeeper Sten Grytebust to make the score 4:0 in Copenhagen’s favour after 52 minutes of play. Copenhagen eventually defeated Odense 6:1 at home in the Danish capital with Zeca playing 90 minutes.
Captain of Copenhagen, 30-year-old midfielder Zeca has made 19 Danish Superliga appearances for the club this season, scoring one goal and making two assists. Copenhagen boast a six-point lead in first place of the standings after 21 matches.

Elsewhere, Alanyaspor fell 2:3 to Goztepe on the road in the Turkish Super Lig, however Greek defender Tzavellas scored in his team’s defeat.
With Alanyaspor trailing 0:2 at the time, Tzavellas rose highest to meet a corner from the right wing, planting a header into the far corner to halve the deficit for the visitors. Nevertheless, Alanyaspor did lose 2:3, with 31-year-old Tzavellas receiving a yellow card and being substituted in stoppage time.
At the moment, Alanyaspor occupy 11th place of the table, holding 25 points after 21 games. Tzavellas has registered one goal in 20 Super Lig matches this season.
